The rise, fall and rise of seaweed

Seaweed farming in Zanzibar is arduous and low paid. But by joining into clusters, and through the creation of a processing factory, local seaweed farmers are adding value to their crop and have greater strength in the marketplace.

This work is very important and we beleive that there are many use of seaweeds, as in animal nutrition.We have many results concerning the utilisation of seaweeds for fattening lambs and rabbits.See our article in Ruminant Reseach 2010.Chermiti & al
