Renewed research effort to tackle African Swine Fever
A devastating disease of pigs, African Swine Fever causes up to 100 per cent mortality in previously unaffected animals. To better understand the complexities of the disease, a consortium of research and development organisations from around the world is implementing a range of approaches across Africa.

ASF is one of the problems here in Soutwest Nigeria. Although some research were done in our National Veterinary Research Institute in the North, we would like to join the collaboration and see if you can help us obtain some antisera or ELISA kits for our screening of the herds of pigs we collected

This is a real demonstration of partnership in research to bring tangible results in Africa. Africa is facing the challenge of diseases and hunger and this needs a multidisciplinery approach as seen in the collaboration between BeCA and CSIRO.
