Climate challenge for the Congo Basin

For the people of Lukolela on the Congo River, reforesting the river banks and planting a green belt around their town have been adopted as a strategy to cope with climate changes. In recent years, lives, property and livestock have been lost to storms, and crop production hit by erratic rainfall and longer dry seasons.
