Zambia takes action to control army worm outbreak

The Government of Zambia has responded to a severe outbreak of army worm in maize growing areas, through use of pesticides and distribution of early maturing maize seeds for replanting affected areas.

African governments usualy are reactive to environmental disasters and put up political statement that 'investiment in research' is required like the was in Zambia,unfortunately no proactive political will is in given in research and development
