Papua New Guinea

One of the largest nations in the Pacific, Papua New Guinea (PNG) has great geographical diversity and is rich in natural resources: habitats range from tropical heaths and grasslands, to cloud forests, savannas, mangroves and swamp forest. But despite PNG being the eighth fastest-growing economy in 2012, about one third of the population lives on less than US$1.25 per day.
