Going back to school

Breaktime at Amuru Rekiceke school. Thousands of children have been abducted and forced to fight with the LRA against the UPDF government forces. A recent report from UNICEF states that the figure is about 66,000 youth - between the ages of 14 and 30. Tens of thousands more have been affected by the conflict. Those who were abducted and trained as soldiers were often forced to turn against members of their own families. The process of rehabilitating children back into the community and the education process is long and challenging.
