Hope for peace

On break from school, these children join thousands of others who live, work and play in the confines of IDP camps. The UN's head of humanitarian affairs has called the crisis in northern Uganda the most 'neglected humanitarian crisis' in the world. After 20 years of civil war, peace talks now being held in Juba, Sudan, offer the best opportunity yet for stability in the region. Although drawn out and peppered with disagreements, negotiations with the LRA started in July 2006.
