Unsettling times for India's buffalo nomads
Thousands of Van Gujjars, including this young woman, were evicted from their winter range after Rajaji National Park was established in a section of the Shivalik Hills. Nomadic families were forced to settle in government-built villages and abandon their traditional way of life.
