The start of a new life

Families returning to their villages have few, if any, assets and are mostly dependent on assistance to make a fresh start. Food aid is still necessary for many; others receive basic household kits, including a bucket, bowl, tarpaulin, blankets, soap, suferias (cooking pot), plates, cups and cutlery. But for child-headed households in particular, the challenge of starting a new life has only just begun.
